Please join the Dia de los Muertos DC (DDLMDC) Family, on September 18, 2021 from 12:00PM – 5:00PM, in giving back to the community, while improving your physical and mental health in the process.
Donate your gently used belongings & the proceeds will go to four non-profits that directly support unaccompanied minors who cross the border, immigrants & marginalized families in Mexico and Latin America.
Come out and enjoy a day of release, as you shed your unwanted items that have been cluttering up your safe spaces, release you physical stress during a peaceful yoga class and breathing workshop, and decompress your mind as you receive guidance and resources to promote and bolster your mental health.
All items collected will be separated and cleaned. A portion of the belongings will be donated to FUNDrive, an organization that collects used clothing and goods, and provides compensation to support non-profits. The other portion will be shipped to Lemon Grove, CA to support the MHF (Minority Humanitarian Foundation), and the Welcome Home Boutique Thrift & Art Space. Additional funds raised will support the La Cosecha Foundation to help foster entrepreneurship and support social, cultural and economic prosperity in Latin American countries.

COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS
– All items must be clean. (MANDATORY)
– For all Bedding, Towels, or Tattered Clothing, please place in a white 13 gallon trashbag. (PREFERABLE)
– For all Gently Used Clothing or other items on the above list, please place within a black 13 gallon trash bag a or box. (PREFERABLE)
If you do not have these options available to you, please bring your donation in whatever form that you can. The above Preferable Requirements just really help our Collection Team with ensuring that all donations are going to the right location, so that they provide the optimum benefit for our recipients.
