Siblings Giuseppe and Mario Lanzone founded Peruvian Brothers as a way to share the flavors and generosity of the Peruvian coast, where they grew up. Drawing on shared memories of an abundant dinner table, their first brick-and-mortar location at La Cosecha echoes the success of their original food truck—consistently voted one of D.C.’s favorite—as they pay homage to the sandwiches, empanadas, desserts, hot sauces and more of their home community.

Giuseppe and Mario Lanzone

The sibling duo behind D.C.’s popular Peruvian Brothers – Giuseppe and Mario Lanzone – were born and raised off the coast of Lima, pursuing separate professional paths (including Olympic rowing for Giuseppe) for more than a decade before teaming up for their culinary venture. With their first brick-and-mortar location and the expansion of the business, they’ll bring Peruvian- style sandwiches, empanadas, desserts and hot sauces to the market.
